Went to Knotts Berry Farm on Tuesday for the 8th grade class trip. This is my 4th year in a row going. Only one other teacher has a longer streak, and his is like 16 years. Anyway it was not that great because between 10:30 and 4:30 we were only able to make it on 3 rides!!! The Silver Bullet (a great coaster) had a line that was 2 hrs long. The one redeeming factor was I ordered waffle fries, with a blue cheese topping. They were great, but made me sick to my stomach on the bus ride back.
On another note we had our last staff meeting today, and now we only have 2 full days left, and then a half day on Monday. That’s right the LAST DAY OF SCHOOL IS ON A MONDAY!!!! Do I need to rant any further? Here's an idea state of CA that seems to have no money, DON'T hold the last day of school on a Monday!!!!!! The kids aren’t going to learn that much.
Net Ball, on the bus back from Knotts we were following the game on a kids I-phone. That’s right not only do they have an I-phone, but they have the $40 a month data plan. I think game 1 was the Lakers (Thank you Admiral Obvious), and game 2 and 3 could have gone either way, and they did the only problem is that in game 3 the Magic were shooting 75% or something and the Lakers were hanging with them. If the Lakers win game 4 it is over, Lakers in 6 I know that hurts me on two levels, number two I have wanted the Lakers to fail my whole life and now I find myself some what wanting them to win and foremost I don't want to agree with the Sportscaster and Chief.

Net Ball
Today the Teachers and Boys + Girls club staff were victorious over the 8th grade students in a game of Basketball. The final score was 45-53, and they went on a scoring run at the end. I had about 5 buckets and some rebounds. We were playing full court but some how wern't out hustled which 8th graders should have been able to do espicaly because they had subs and the teachers didn't.

NCAA Tournament
Now I am not a college basket ball guy (I can't even name one player in the whole tournament), but we did a pool at work, mostly PE teachers and basketball coaches, but a few math teachers got in the mix. This is how it has gone so far.
Round #1
Day 1
I picked 15 out of 16 games right. Thought I was pretty hot stuff. I even picked some good upsets.
Day 2
I picked 10 out of 16 games. Not so good but kept me in the running.
Round #2
I picked 14 out of 16 games. Which is the best I could have done due to the fact that I had Wake Forest and Florida St winning second round games.
At the end of round two, I am tied for 2nd place and two points out of first. In a pool of 13 people. Not bad for my first time filling out a bracket. We will see how it turns out though, I have NC falling to Gonzaga.......
Stay tuned for more.
