Yes, No, Yes! Yes?

Yes to the Green Bay Packers getting the win.

No to dropping Johnny Jolly before the game.

Yes for Santana Moss scoring 41 fantasy points.

No for me not starting him.

Yes for Obama who is making sure government contracts go to companies who employ U.S. citizens.

No for Frank Gore going down on his first play.

Yes for the enchiladas I had for lunch.

No to the 49'ers giving it up in the last seconds of the game.

Yes to the new comedy Community.

No to the Cleavland show. I didn't watch it, but I don't have to, I am getting sick of Seth McFarlan.

Yes to the cold weather we have been having.

Also Yes to the warm weather we have been having.

No to the TV reception we have been getting. CBS is like every third frame.

Yes to Fringe coming back.

No to SNL on several levels. First Megan Fox, enough said. Second, their digital short was the worst one ever. Worse than all of the laser cats combined.

Yes to the SNL cold open by Fred.

No to internet explorer capping out on me, hold on while I go download mozilla.

Yes to the MNF crew esp John G. I like his comments, I am sure he will be back to coaching next year but I do enjoy him in the booth. (TWSS)

No to MNF football being on ESPN and having to have cable or satellite to get it.

Yes to the Tigers losing.

No to the Twins losing.

Yes to the guy I met who had just found a 1800's coin worth $60 or so. I was hiking Barns Bluff and these guys were out there with metal detectors.

That pretty much wraps up the weekend. I am getting spanked in fantasy football this week so good thing I am headed out of the country.

Here is a short list of players I am willing to trade,

Matt H

Donavon M

Frank Gore (a week to late)

Any one with the last name of Jones.

Any players on my roster.

Any players not on my roster.

Any players I get through a trade.

Wanted receivers, defense, and Johnney Jolly, V Davis. (I think they are free agents but I am 5/6 on the wire)

So Long DHS

Here are some photos from our move back to WI. My buddy Adam flew out to drive the UHAUL back. Don't know what we would have done with out him.

A fresh start with a bunch of energy and an empty truck.

A new exercise, the treadmill push.

Rubbermade skateboarding. After a few boxes thought I would take a break.Had to scrub off the deck. Then another break...Sometime during my break when Adam wasn't taking pictures of me sleeping he found some time to pack the Uhaul. The whole package. Finally something familear, should be home in an hour and a half................. and then in a burst of rubber we had a flat, one mile into Min.
But we made it. And are glad to be home.

Sushi.

Last night we went out for some sushi, and by some we mean a few bites. And here they are. This was sushi for 3. Mine is the spicy yellow fin tuna on the left (its not yellow), the far left Vanessa had some Tofu and the vegie roll on top, Vanessa's mom had the roll on the right, most of the orange is flying fish roe, it was not bad.
Ceri, Ali, family, we are going to take sushi to a new level this summer.

Stick a Fork in Me........

....Cuz I am done with school. Took me 2 days, but with misty eyes I turned in my keys, lanyard, whistle and walked out the door. I am now unemployed, by choice, which is better than the 20-some of my co-workers that have been pink sliped. I hope you are all able to be rehired or find some other better paying, less stressful job. Good luck to all DSMS staff, I learned a bunch, had some great teaching tools, worked with the best people I could imagine but now it is time to move on. I will miss you Desert Springs Middle School thanks for all you taught me.

8th Grade trip

Went to Knotts Berry Farm on Tuesday for the 8th grade class trip. This is my 4th year in a row going. Only one other teacher has a longer streak, and his is like 16 years. Anyway it was not that great because between 10:30 and 4:30 we were only able to make it on 3 rides!!! The Silver Bullet (a great coaster) had a line that was 2 hrs long. The one redeeming factor was I ordered waffle fries, with a blue cheese topping. They were great, but made me sick to my stomach on the bus ride back.

On another note we had our last staff meeting today, and now we only have 2 full days left, and then a half day on Monday. That’s right the LAST DAY OF SCHOOL IS ON A MONDAY!!!! Do I need to rant any further? Here's an idea state of CA that seems to have no money, DON'T hold the last day of school on a Monday!!!!!! The kids aren’t going to learn that much.

Net Ball, on the bus back from Knotts we were following the game on a kids I-phone. That’s right not only do they have an I-phone, but they have the $40 a month data plan. I think game 1 was the Lakers (Thank you Admiral Obvious), and game 2 and 3 could have gone either way, and they did the only problem is that in game 3 the Magic were shooting 75% or something and the Lakers were hanging with them. If the Lakers win game 4 it is over, Lakers in 6 I know that hurts me on two levels, number two I have wanted the Lakers to fail my whole life and now I find myself some what wanting them to win and foremost I don't want to agree with the Sportscaster and Chief.

Bye-bye Student Loans, Thank You California.

Today June 5, 2009 4 years and some odd days after my collage graduation I am free of the $19000 loan owned by Nelnet. I have only been making the minimum payment this whole time, which by its self would have taken another 10 years to pay off. The only thing that did it was the wonderful state of California's apple program that paid the rest of it. I received the most money possible because I was an out of state teacher, new teacher, taught math and was teaching in a underperforming minority school. So thank you California, and now I will be leaving. So long and thanks for all the fish (tacos).
